STH High Intensity Summer Program
Four days a week for up to seven weeks, players train under the direct instruction of Stephen “Shaker” Cuevas — a former European professional player, University of Guelph Gryphon Hall of Famer, and experienced basketball development coach.
This is not drop-in. This is not recreational. Every session is structured, demanding, and designed to push serious athletes further than they thought they could go — while building the discipline and basketball intelligence that separate good players from great ones.
Attendance commitment is expected. The roster is limited.

How It Compares
Most basketball camps charge $400–800 for a single week of large-group sessions — 100+ kids in a gym, limited individual instruction, and no continuity after the week ends. Programs like overnight camps run over $800 for five days.
High Intensity is different. You get 3 to 7 weeks of structured, small-group training with the same coaching staff. At the 7-week rate, that works out to $250 per week. More weeks, more reps, more development, and a coach who has actually experienced and executed the path to success to which participants aspire.
| Program | Duration | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Overnight camps | 1 week | $800+ |
| Typical rep camp | 1 week | $400–600 |
| STH High Intensity | 3–7 weeks | $250/week* |
*$250/week at the 7-week early bird rate. Per-week cost varies by duration.
What Players and Coaches Say
Any player from Guelph who is any good has gone through Shaker.
James Gillingham — German Bundesliga Pro · Bradley University (NCAA DI) · 2025 Guelph Sports Hall of Fame
As much as Shake True Hoops has helped me with my basketball skills, it is the lessons I’ve learned to apply off the court that I will retain for my entire life.
Scott Jaspers-Fayer — Cape Breton University · Team Captain
Shaker helped me develop my game throughout my career. His knowledge and instruction allowed me to round out my skills so I could succeed at the next level.
